Or just sell them to me..
I've considered how much it would take to sell the package of everything (controller board, the android app, the housings) and I don't think I'd even start considering offers until they were past $1000. It was a significant enough portion of my life spent prototyping, revising, coding (both the arduino and the android portions), and so forth.

These housings should be glued together with that adhesive, not sonic welded, given that they're all pre-2000.. what is it, 400F for 12 minutes or something?

Yes, just like the headlights. You can bake them at 250 or use a heat gun carefully which is how I did mine. Just do it slowly and you should be fine.

Well that's a good look behind the lens, thanks ya!
I just might be able to rig something up without modifying my current boards too much.

You're welcome sir. Pay no mind to the painted lenses. We all make mistakes. 😄 I have some JDM tails with broken corners and I'm trying to figure out if I can swap the housings as these are perfect. There's a divider in the JDM tails for the turn signal so I'll have to figure out if it can be removed and placed in the US housing. I just have to take apart the JDM tails first to see. I wish someone made some cool LED conversion kits for these.

Putting together next yrs 700cc improver race sled ..ported the cylinders and base and matched ported

I miss playing with 2-strokes.

I'd buy another Banshee (I've had about 6 of them over the years), but the market on 2-strokes is getting obscene.

My younger brother bought an RZ350 a couple of months back to restore/set up as another track bike which has made me jealous a little.

Sits, as in, "It just works?"
That's always welcome.
Sits, as in, "I'm tired of having to deal with it anymore", not so much.
Sorta...both.

It runs. I need to address the drivetrain (rebuild manual or auto swap) and I have ZERO motivation to do so. I can drive it from A to B if I wish to, but can't really turn it up and let it eat because of the trans situation. It's fun driving and hotrodding my truck and my Mustang that don't require anywhere as much PITA time and effort to put a smile on my face. One of these days I will do an oil change, freshen up the liquids and drive the Galant around the block. It's pretty close to the time to renew the tags anyway. Also, my Galant has no exhaust (downpipe only) so it's f***ing loud - another deterrent to me driving it around.

Yeah I was just joking.. "baking" tail lights

I guess I could have been more pointed by saying "400F for 12 minutes, flipping over at half the time?"

I've used the heat gun on my 1g lenses in the past, but those weren't quite so precious to me.

I have been helping my son get an old 1987 Honda Accord Hatchback back on the road. It sat at our local exhaust shop for the last 12 years and he decided he wanted it for better mileage than the Infinity I30 he drives (less than 1000 miles away from 400,000 on the odometer). This little car should get 30-35 mpg and it seems to be a cool little car. It still needs some upkeep on the inside (better door panels is all), but I am super proud of the things that he did to get it back on the road. I was just his assistant, LOL. :thumb:
It smoked like a mosquito fogger when we first got her fired up a couple nights ago. I had to run it on BPC in the throttle body for it to run (this car is on SD, YAY), then, after tapping on the injectors with a small hammer for a little bit, they all started working and it really purrs on its own now. Quite an accomplishment I say. Good job son!

I couldn't add the video along with pictures, so here is the old Honda just idling along like she had never sat for 12 years!
By the way, my son repaired the gas sending unit last night and now THE GAS GAUGE WORKS. He really is good at repairs and fabrication of all kinds.

My (distant) neighbor just called and told me to come haul away his 1993 Honda Accord- for $100... I said I'll be there ASAP LOL. Looks like I'm stuck with three Hondas now. I keep saying that I'm done picking up new projects (and I TRY) but when someone makes an offer like that I can't say no. Especially since people these days would ask a thousand dollars for it. But unfortunately, the car is in much worse shape than when I originally tried to buy it over two years ago. Now the tires have gone flat, battery is a paper weight and I'm sure the tank needs to be dropped and cleaned. I may just bring it home and stick it under a car cover for a couple months while I tie up one of the 2g projects and can make room in the shop. I'll add some pictures before I cover it up. It's all original. And being a 90's Honda parked outside, I think literally all of the clear coat has fallen off. I'll need to spray it with paint after water.

Well how many can show a picture like this. The 1999 Infiniti I30 rolled over to 400000 miles last night. I say that is an accomplishment and shows that maintenance will keep your car going! :thumb:

I guess someone does make conversion kits. Pretty cool although I'd probably leave the center alone. Racelegacy.com

Sounds like a much better investment than a 30 year old car LOL
Not nearly as much fun, just as much heartache. Whole reason to get to this point was to finally be able to afford to fix the 30 year old car one day! Of course she was only 12 when that plan was laid…Lol

Here's the $100 Honda. It's F22A equipped. And get this: I drove it to it's parking spot... Yep, with 3 year old fuel it starts and runs. Very rough at that, but damn. I may not have to drop the tank after all. The gauge is reading almost empty so I bet I can fill it with fresh fuel and do a natural flush. Under a cover it goes, so I don't have to look at it and think about spending money until at least one other car is finished or close. I also just realized since it's over 30 years old I can buy a lifetime vintage vehicle tag and never worry about renewing the registration. Isn't it crazy how time flies? In my mind it should be newer than that. I haven't worried about washing it yet because I'm scared the paint will literally fall off.

Eh, decided to already pull the cover off and drive it to the local gas station to fill up because why not. I added a can of CF5 to a full tank and put some miles on it. It runs much better now. I don't know what it is but Hondas can sit around forever and get right back on the road. After I burn some fresh fuel it will be going back under the cover for a while but I had to know if it were going to run well or had any hidden issues. I've got to say, it's fairly peppy for an old 2.2L. I didn't expect much but it will scoot around quickly. I need to get a tag and new tires before I wake it up on the highway though.
